IIRC it`s stamped into the edge of the flange that bolts to the manifold? If both the throttles are same size / open together it`s a 38DGAS, if they`re different sizes and one opens before the other, it`s a 32/36DGAV
Definitely a 32/36 DGAV.
You can see the linkage in the photo. The 38DGAS has interlocking quadrants to open both barrels together.

As Bug says, it's a Weber 32/36 DGAV πŸ‘

One thing I've noticed with mine is that, on a cold start, pressing the pedal all the way down may not make the flaps snap shut, but if I press it part way and release then they seem more likely to close. Could that be indicative of anything specific?

I would say Paul, that it`s maybe more to do with speed than travel. When you press 1/2 way you will do it in a more measured, slower, action, swhereas just pressing to the floor is likely much more rapid? Maybe too quick for flaps to jump? Hard to imagine otherwise as, basically, you`ve got to go through 1/2 to get to full. If you do it looking at the carb, cold, air cleaner off, can you hear them snap shut? Should be quite a clean, crisp action. Maybe the tension in the coil is not what it should be, worn spindles ?

I've experimented with the pedal speed, I don't think it's that. It's ok don't worry, I'll take it all apart and have a gander.

Simple solution...remove the choke flaps completely. You CAN do without them.
