Welcome to the forum, it looks good in that picture anyway, nice colour too.
Re: New member
Good morning, yesterday was a hard day, I went by train for about 350 miles I bought the car and returned with it, all before 10 at night. The car came smooth and perfect, but I had two drawbacks, a truck threw a stone and broke my windshield, the insurance will cover it, and the owner of the car gave a small blow to the fender.
The car has the typical problems, the dashboard has been repaired and I want a footrest ... It has many improvements, we will see them ... I leave you some photos ... Greetings

Annoying about the windscreen, but looks clean and tidy, very nice!

Thank you very much for the kind comments, I have a question now, I wanted to order the front window and they tell me that there are two models, one that measures 52.2 cm (20.5 inches) and the other that measures 53 cm (20.8 inches) , measuring from the center of the glass.
How can I know which model it is without disassembling it?
Thanks for your time.
I have several pages of the forum to visit and write, but I'm a bit busy ...

Welcome to this forum mate.. There's a lovely bunch of people on here. We even have some members that come from Wales !!!
That looks a lovely Capri you bought mate and that was some journey to get it. Well done.!! Great to see another Pinto on here. When you get around to it I can't wait to hear your plans. Standard or Modified they are brilliant engines. Good choice
Regarding your windscreen the simple answer is Ford decided to make the windscreen smaller after 1981 (ish) and used a wider seal. Before 1981 it was the larger screen with a narrow seal. So basically it's
Up to 1981 Windscreen 53cm -, narrow seal
1981 - 87 Windcreen 52.2cm - wider seal
BUT the actual windscreen hole aperture in the body of the Capri is the same so all you need to do is make sure you get the correct windscreen and seal combination and either screen will fit.
So for example if your Capri is 1984, if it's original your screen should be 52.2cn so you need the wider seal BUT if you buy a 53cm screen with the narrow seal it will fit fine !
Pilkington can supply BOTH size windscreens but not the seals
https://www.pilkington.com/en-gb/uk/aut ... -car-glass
Motomobil in Germany can supply BOTH screens AND seals
https://www.motomobil.com/en/products?p ... een&artnr=
Maybe one of your local windscreen supplier/fitters in Spain can supply a screen but just make sure the seal is correct.
Hope this helps
All the best
Nick

Thank you very much for your answer, yesterday I had to take it out for a walk, and enjoy like a child, the handling is spectacular, it has the 2.8 brakes and metal hoses, adjustable koni suspensions, and a lot of other things and they make it feel like a current car ...... we will continue to inform .....
Re: New member
Hello, this Friday my front window was changed, I already have a new car ...
I went to wash it and with the pressure hose I put some water inside, I suppose that the rubber must be adjusted something more these days, if not, I will have to take it to adjust.
Here is another photos of my capri, and you can also see what one of my hobbies is, airguns, I've been doing it for a long time and I have a few, I don't know if anyone shares this hobby in this forum.
But I would gladly change the permissiveness that you have there, for the power that we have allowed here, you have 12 ft-lb and here they allow us up to 17.8 ft-lb

Love the interior - the blue inside looks great.
Also think the door light is brilliant!
I bought the same ones for my car years ago but never got around to fitting them...
