Front seats

Post by Mrbaboon1985 »

Hi All,

Anyone know of any front seats that fit well in a Mk3 and are easy to fit without any or minor modifications to the runners?

Original Recaro capri stuff is super expensive lol

1981 GL Auto 2.0, Barn-Find-Resto, now also a runaround project
1980 3.0S, crash damage resto
1993 Fiesta 1.1

Currently full up and no more space but I still want a 2.8...
Location: Buckinghamshire

I'm guessing you don't want any of the standard capri seats then?
I know they fit without any mods

Im looking for a darker interior as opposed to the standard laser interior. Just struggling to find something and all the 2.8 interiors are grey and hugely priced for the rarity lol

Last two interiors in mine were mk2 ones 👍 they are a bargain by the looks of it.

Have you considered retrimming? I met a lady the other day that used to work for Lotus doing interiors and she was cheap!

They are a bargain at 120 quid. I'll hunt around for some retrimming prices. Have to do the door cards as well lol

Maybe do the car wreakers , some late-ish model hot hatches had nice leather , even electric seats . Obviously mounting takes a bit of effort but the whole package could finish looking good and on a budget price . I have recaros but no idea yet as to mounting them :headscratch:
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

They do sometimes pop up on :ebay: just for the base, though I can't see any on there at the moment
