Deal car show 2019
Not so long back from a cracking day out. Met up with Nick and Jason and his Dad John early (for me) this morning just outside Dover and travelled together to Deal car show. Obviously there was a spot of rain as there always is when Nick goes to Deal but ultimately the day was dry and by later in the afternoon it was warm and sunny. The lads also laid on a Spitfire flypast for me (so they say ) which was a nice touch.
Met up with Steve and Paul and another Nick and his brother and generally had a good chat about Capris and other stuff that perhaps I shouldn't mention!
Reportedly over 900 cars there again and we were amongst the last to leave.
A few Capris to start and I'll look in to posting some more pictures later on.

Re: Deal car show 2019
Hi Peter,
Thank you for uploading these great photos.
It sounds like you all had a good day, The weather there looks fantastic, and 900 cars is an amazing turn out for a car show, it would take some doing to even get around to see them all.
All of the Capris at the show look superb, especially the forum cars, you all did the forum proud! It looks like the time spent polishing your car was not in vain.
Andrew.

Looked a great show Peter. As Andrew said, what a turnout. Forum cars looking great, liking the banner. Spotted an Escort Harrier between the Capri's, big fan, one of my favourite Mk2s. What a setting too, glad you all enjoyed.

Hi Peter,
Yep another superb day at Deal. Really enjoyed it again albeit for the bleedin rain.....AGAIN !!! Thats three years running. Bleedin Hell !!! I am ringing up Ladbooks tomorrow to put a tennor on a 1 year forcast for rain next year on Deal Day !!! Should get a good price and this way I cant frigging loose !!
But have to say was worth it..... Really was a great show and always a complete pleasure to spend time in great company with Peter, Jason and his dad John. Thanks guys for a great day !!! And was great to see Steve and his good lady again too
Sorry chaps but I did not really take many photos this year as Peter kindly told me and Jason to rest up and stay seated in our foldable chairs while he agreed to take pics with his very good camera....thanks Peter
Really great pictures Peter !! How the dickens did you get such a great photo of that Spitfire !!! It was off up in the distance and you still managed to get an amazing picture of it !!
Anyway I did take some plcs of our forum meet up....with great pleasure !!
After calling round to Jasons and then his dad we convoyed down to meet up with Peter just outside Dover

Re: Deal car show 2019
Nice pics Nicks. As you said you need some front fogs to properly fit in
Thanks for the compliments on the car, she shows up reasonably well in the snaps. At least I don't have to get the polish out again until July
Yours was getting a lot of attention and well deserved it was too. Looking grand, especially the smart new tank
Look forward to catching up again later in the year.

Yes what a fantastic day also great meeting up with you peter and some great pictures there and you got the spitfire at the end , yes I have that red face again . Nicks car won many hearts over as did all our capris hearing people talking about when they had a Capri or a family member .Two old girls nearly ended up taking my dad home . Caught up with Steve and his very young wife .
We had the laser forum banner out also the new mascot laser the blow up dog that did stop real dogs from doing there what nots up your wheel .
Here’s a quick video of laser the blow up dog in action .
But thanks again to nick who Organise a great day and was my sat Nav . Also peter got me taking with my dad as to go up to Duxford very soon again as it’s been a few years since we went .
Only picture I got was of the banner and my pride and joy from Andrew yes “The tea Towel “ .
Also as you can guess I put my feet up in the chair and woke up at 3am this morning

Re: Deal car show 2019
Brilliant additional photos!
There certainly seems to be a fantastic selection of classic Fords at the show. I particularly like the black Granada coupe and the white/red Escort Mexico which. for me, is the must-have colour combo.
I'm glad to see that Laser the show dog performed his duty to perfection, but what will he get up to when there's nobody there to keep an eye on him?
For me, the highlight of the show is seeing the tea towel enjoying a day out at the seaside!
Andrew.

Sounds like it was a great day and 900 cars is a top turnout. The setting looks good too.
Thanks for posting the pics and the Capri's are all looking incredible.
Good to see that Mk1 Granada Coupe and the various Cortina's too.
As for the Spitfire flypast, what a lovely touch . I notice that it's the 2 seater version, so maybe next time....

Fantastic pictures Peter. Cant get over how good your car came up with the clay bar etc on Nick's picture too. The Forum cars are a credit to their owners. That setting is brilliant, looks so relaxed & so many cars to see too. Liking all the Mustangs, old & new alike plus the odd hot rod too, definitely something for everyone here.
Cheers for the extra pics

Peter your 2.8i really looked fantastic mate after all your hard work. That clay bar and detailing you did really paid off. I could see from the min we pulled into Lidl Car Park and see you sitting there. As I was saying I think Black Capri's look sooooo cool and yours was deffo well cool
I had to get that dust and all the dead flies off pronto. Could not sleep mate ! So was out there on Sun using my new tub of Britemax and B112 is now under a cover all set for Classic Ford at Mallory Park next Sun....then the cleaning process starts again....
All the best
