My Capri (of many years ... blood sweat and tears!) 2.0l laser

Hey there everyone! Hope you are all well!
So I bought a Capri 14 years ago ..... I had to count that out a few times! How time flies when you own a Capri ...
Over the years I have done a far bit, so I will just list the major bits ...
Engine rebuilt,
Wheel
Paint job (VERY badly)
Front adjustable coilover and damper conversion
Compression strut (and drop links to original anti-roll bar)
Mondeo calipers, vented, grooved and drilled discs
Back adjustable dampers
Single leaf (with slightly higher rear mounts)
Anti-tramp bars
Panhard rod
Sierra calipers, (solid discs)
(All over the above has polybushes too)
I got this on the road and drove it for about a month (as a daily driver) and had a pretty bad shunt! .... write off!!
I found a new shell and had a massive amount of time off the Capri with a career change and many other things going on the old and new shall sat dormant for many years ....
So the new shell was ok, but needed some rust repairs underneath ... so the work began again!
All of the above modifications were untouched in the crash!
So once the underside was sorted I transferred all the runner gear and engine to the new shall.
Painted it (blue) and much better paint job than last time! (Not perfect by any stretch but better!
Engine went in and the interior,
With a house move chucked in the middle of it all .....
I now have the car in a garage attached to my houses which makes finishing up far easier! Just done a carb clean up as it was hunting like a beast, but on the whole ready ... I am going to be booking the MoT next week or two!!
Can’t wait to get back on the road after many MANY years off the road!
All the pictures are well out of chronological order! (I couldn’t work out how to change the order) but you get the idea
Thanks for reading! Already seen a few of the other cars on here! There are some serious wagons, and looking forward to flicking through some more members cars over breaky!
Stay safe all!
