Capri driving lights

Post by Pda.autos »

Afternoon all,
I hope this is ok to post here?
When I was 20 I decided it was time to upgrade from my 1.6 LS Capri (brought new when I was 18)to a 2.8 injection special so I placed my order, much to the concern of the salesman
(Are you sure you can get insurance/afford this) anyway they told me the car was being delivered to them on 20th December, so I went down to watch it being unloaded from the transporter(very excited) and the car was to be PDI’ED before Christmas
I collected the car on the 27th December 1985.
Fast forward 36 years and the car is still with me and is now showing 6380 miles
But the one thing that I have Always regretted is not getting to rectangular driving lights fitted under the bumper
So my question is does anyone have the rectangular driving lights and brackets that they would be willing to sell ,
Must be genuine Ford lights and brackets,
I am willing to pay top money for the correct items
So I can rectify the mistake I made 36 years
Regards Paul ago

Hi
I suppose because it was always my second car
And I had also decided that I would never use it in the rain
And it has never been out in the rain, I also knew I wouldn’t sell it and I would have a lifetime to enjoy it when I wanted to.and I have enjoyed it in many different ways
From local runs to spending time cleaning it and
Also just sitting here with a glass of wine looking at it
That’s why I think
Always thought I should of had driving light though 😂

I do agree the Capri is art , I have always been a fan of fog lamps or driving lamps .

Hi,
your Capri looks great! ;)

Here are documents with part numbers of additional headlamps and brackets for Capri. Maybe it will be helpful.

HI,
it was quick. ;)

But find brackets will be probably harder. And what about fog light switch? Do you have one?

Martin at Capri gear might have one or Tickover in Dartford . Your need a relay to fit them as well .
