Respray
She went into the bodyshop today to be resprayed, she is having the bonnet, front wings, valance, grill, light surrounds, slam panel and both doors done. Both doors have several door dings, so it will be nice to get them sorted.
Plus it will be nice to get rid of that black bonnet, I know some folk like the black bonnet look, but I like to see a nice solid colour on a car where every panel is the same colour, the black somehow loses the shape of the bonnet bulge.
I cant wait to get her back, but also dreading it at the same time.

Very nice Dallas can’t wait to see the pictures when she’s done I agree with the black bonnet but yellow Mk1 with a black bonnet is ok .

That will look lovely when it's all polished and put back together. The Rosso Red (or is it Cardinal Red) suits the Capri well.

Re: Respray
Thanks fellas.
Respray now finished, she is out of isolation, I'm really happy with the end result, a proper factory finish.
.
I've been trying out some Cyclones.

Looking very smart.
Is that a taxi mirror on the passenger side?
I'd be tempted to fit some 'S' stripes

She is going back in to have the rear quarters panels, roof and tailgate done, and a couple of defects sorted along the scuttle.
Ref: Taxi mirror... Yes I think it is, its been a right pain in the I wish it were just the regular slim mirror, I could have avoided all the sleepless nights I've had over it.

Looking really good, nice car. Aftermarket wheels look good against the Red too, something different.

I reckon I'm gonna stick with the RS4 Spokes though, they seem to suit the Capri perfectly, I may end up getting them refurbished.

Re: Respray
Hi fellas, its been awhile, sadly my father passed away so I've been a bit behind with the restoration etc.
The Capri went back in for more work, so she ended up having a complete respray in the end.

She is pretty much finished now.
I will have to do a before and after pic, she looks a completely different car now.

Thanks fellas.
Regarding the wheels, I've bought 2x different sets of wheels these past two months, a set of chrome Cyclones and a set of gold KN Diamonds with a polished rim, neither set worked for me. I believe the RS4 spokes suit the Capri really well, Ford seemed to have got the design right first time.
I'm going to have to get my set refurbished, I'm also on the lookout for a spare set of RS4 spokes.
It a shame there are no car shows this year, normally I would have taken my two MG's to at least three shows by now. Cant wait to take the Capri to a few shows...
