Not so new

Post by Lee-mk2 »

Hi, not posted on here for ages although I often visit to see whats going on.

I thought i should post something as I have started to do a few things to the red one over the last few months, it has been sat in the garage for the last 20+ years! I was slightly concerned what state it would be in but other than being very dusty appears to be pretty much the same as the day it was pushed in there!

Sorry probably should have put it in the restoratin folder - hopefully will not be a project for long!

Very cool!

If you're going to start work on it again make sure to keep this thread updated - I'd love to see how it turns out

Cheers

Cheers - the engine is obviously sat in the car and the gearbox and prop now in place and all seems to fit nicely. May need a bit of tweeting but overall happy with how it sits. Being such a short engine it could almost be seen as "mid engined" .

Hope to get the pipework in next weekend.

Well its been a bit slow during lockdown but now have rad and pipework in and all seems to fit pretty well.
Will probably remove the standard inlet nextand have a measure up for the new carbs and inlet manifold. Once I am happy that all fits it willl be time to sort the electrics / omex
