I know that you don't consider yours a concours example Andrew, but surely it can't be far off? Or at least it wouldn't take much to make it so? Certainly from the pics I've seen it pretty much looks it!

Hi Paul,
Thank you for saying so, that's very kind. I would describe my car as good overall condition, certainly not concours. There are plenty of Capris on this forum that are in far better condition, I assure you.

Well done fella. It is always a 'Cigar Cutting' time the MOT, but as Andy says, I don't think there was ever Any Doubt on this one!!! Must be the best on here!!! Well Done again, Beaulieu 'Full Throttle' now!!! Cheers,

Hi Des,
You might be right, he was dazzled by the reflection of his inspection lamp and couldn't see properly!

Thank you, Des, it's always a relief to get that piece of A4 in my hand!

As a bonus, the tester is classic-friendly, and he did say I was welcome to use his pit on a Saturday morning if ever I need to! :D

Hi John,
Thanks for your kind words.
I never take an MOT pass for granted. Especially this year as I didn't have a lot of time for preparation beforehand. On the drive to the testing station, I realised that I had not checked the washers and wipers. I tried them out on the way..........and found that one washer wasn't working! Luckily, before the test started, I was allowed use of the compressed air line to blow out the blockage in the jet. Phew! :D

Yes, full throttle for Beaulieu.......

Hi Andrew.

Brilliant news re MOT fella, but as already said your 2.8i is simply stunning so bet the examiner had a joyful experience looking over your Capri...no doubt the easiest ticket he will give out this year !! Still as you say its nice to get the ticket...albeit just a crappy print out now. Wish they still handed out the old style ones.

Anyhow well done Andrew :applaud:

All the best

Nick

I agree. The next step will be an e-mail confirmation of a pass instead of a paper copy.....

Hi Andy,
Yes, I read that post after I wrote that. It's a real shame that Mark won't be going, but I'm sure I'll be able to catch up with him at a meet elsewhere.
