Post by Mrbaboon1985 »

Hmmm.... Somethings not right here. My passenger side headlights when on do this...

And when the full beam is in this...

As far as I can see behind the headlights it's the same as the drivers side! What am I missing??

Well actually the earth wire doesn't seem to attach to anything on that side. I'm assuming it should lol. On the drivers side there's is one drilled into the body but not the passengers side?

From memory there should be an earth inside the headlamp bucket for each side, would be worth taking it out and cleaning it up on both sides, or if you're missing one then add one in!

Also clean up all the fuses etc - there is the main fuse box and then another smaller square one attached on the bulkhead, worth cleaning it all up and also the screws that hold it in place for a good earth again.

If the bulbs work, then 90% of the time there's a dodgy earth somewhere

Yeah I think the earth in the passenger side was bodged in. I took them out to change the bulbs and it was hanging there when I unscrewed it so Ill try reattaching to a screw.... Once it stops hammering down!

Yeah, worth using some sandpaper to clean up bowl and the screw etc. to make sure you get a good connection - you can test it by connecting to a different earth first to check that is the issue
