E10 Petrol in September
An informative video on removing Ethanol from unleaded petrol;
https://youtu.be/b9mLbuUSt-0
The amount he does in the video would keep me going for a year with the miles I've been doing. Must do better...

Bloody hell, that makes EVs almost easy!!! Seriously it`s very useful that, if you only need limited quantities. I was expecting another tin pellet scenario, but it`s all actually based on science.
(except for one of the subsequent comments: "Can I recommend that you run your final mix through a " Mr Funnel " these have a filter with a certain gauge of mesh that allows fuel molecules through but traps water molecules." LMAO as they say.)

Somebody had replied to that comment calling them "a complete idiot" !
Who on this forum is going to be first to try this ethanol separation method?
Andrew.

Think an article on removing ethanol at home was featured in Practical Classics a little while ago. There may have been a thread on here about it.
Nice to see you back around here Nige.

Nice one Nige.
What method can be used to measure octane rating? That's the key to this.

Re: E10 Petrol in September
Hi. I was reading the letters/Q&A page in Classic Cars magazine this month, and there was a question about E10 and it reminded me of this thread.
Here is the response. In short - super unleaded will remain E5 (or in some cases like Esso, ethanol free) for the foreseeable.
So we all just use super unleaded, and no need to worry.

At an extra £2.50 per tank (if it treats 10 tanks as it says) its much cheaper to fill up with E10 and add this stuff as opposed to paying an extra £10 per tank to fill up with Supreme.
This is the only downside to only driving old cars though, as the new fuel regs come in it will be harder to justify using them as dailys

Don’t give in to brainwashing and BBC ( Big Brother Corporation) enjoy life, enjoy freedom. Millions died for it.
There are ways and means to protect it.
