They had an issue where the extra (7th) fuel injector on the stainless intake pipe would fracture and pump fuel onto the hot engine.
My old mate Mick Millward (RIP) had that happen to his black one (A2 GUD - No 22). He managed to get out but was on a quiet back road and it was just a shell by the time the fire brigade arrived.

Bloody ell! Also one of the reasons I carry a fire extinguisher.
