Small issue, when i turn my headlights on the car runs hot!?!

Are you basing that on the position of the temperature gauge or have you checked the actual temperate of the engine coolant actually rises ?

But does sound like a voltage stability issue.

99% certain to be the voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel.
Sometimes the fuel gauge will go up as well.

I was going to agree, but it seems like a legitimate overheating issue as the guy's apparently died of dehydration.
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
