Doesn't everyone love a bargain !!!

Post by Bud6200 »

Recently on the hunt for a manual , after a little bit of hunting and evil bay trawling , I found one in very very good condition .
Price £3.00 including postage ....OK only a small bargain , but a bargain is a bargain .

That is a bargain, well done!

It would have cost the seller the best part of £3 to post it to you.

I was lucky as I was given mine by the person I got the car from. And some time after I saw another at a car boot for £1 so I got a second one for the garage.

Amazon sellers do baffle me with the postage costs, can only assume that they buy a pre paid lot cheaper or/and use cheaper couriers than royal mail.

Paul,
I often wonder about this: How can you make something like this and ship it 1/2 way round the world for that price?? I paid, I think, £8 at Aldi for my original, which is ridiculously cheap, but 2 quid??? And 3 years on it`s still working.

I got the aldi one too, its an excellent quality item, like most of their tools.

As for the Amazon etc. postage costs my explanation in my previous post is all I can come up with.

I buy a bit of stuff from China and I,m borderline suspicious as to what they are up to , I mean ,I bought 50 life size worms ( hey ! at least they aint sheep 😆), soft bait for fishing .....$1.43nz ....freight free from China. A litre of 91 petrol here cost $1.90ish. And I have bought tools ( spanners ect , meccano ( heavyish metal stuff ) from the UK coz I can get them cheaper ........why not 😁
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

I thought that everybody knew that the Chinese government subsidised the manufacture of electronic products....

As an aside, I bought an Ebay item from a seller in Japan on the evening of the 11th March and it was with me in the morning of the 16th. Now that's amazing! An item I bought from a UK seller on the same day took another 4 days to arrive...

Danny,
Ha - I just get sooooo many I just can`t be arsed reading, or deleting, them  (They are sites I sometimes use so don`t want to block)
Facebook, for example, every day sends me 5 new sites I`ll be `interested in` about crappy cars of the `70s & `80s. It`s overwhelming - and I never even use FB!

I do similar, then when you go on to your main pc you only have the small number of mails to deal with which you wanted. Nice and organised, tidy desk tidy mind!

Depends which devices you use and how you have your mail clients configured.
