Re: Where is everyone from?
It's a green MK3 with a 350 chevy, 5speed tremec, 5 stud wheels, it won at wonderland in 2014, won gold at a few CCI nationals. 395bhp and 486lbft at 4,000rpm. Its awesome and love it to bits. It had a bad respray last year, only needed the wing doing but ended up painting the whole car, it's horrendous! Went from a show car to needing a bare metal repaint!

Re: Where is everyone from?
My best mate had a V- reg Highland Green 1.6 GL. Lovely old car in beautiful condition and he only sold it because his wife was a short arse and couldn't see over the bonnet.
I really like that colour, had a 2.0GL Cortina in it years ago as well.

I've been chatting to you this guy a little via PM and I'm waiting to see the GT4 once he's ready to show it - I know they're pretty basic Capris but I love GT4 decals, think they're some of the best they came with.
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

That's some good numbers from that engine.IRON MAN wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 2:50 am It's a green MK3 with a 350 chevy, 5speed tremec, 5 stud wheels, it won at wonderland in 2014, won gold at a few CCI nationals. 395bhp and 486lbft at 4,000rpm. Re: Where is everyone from?
Uh , so about double the power I'll be lucky to scrape 220hp out of mine , happy if it see's 200 on the dyno . I do like sbc's but I went for the Rover V8 mostly because of weight issues with a cast iron engine . It would have been cheaper and easier to go sbc , or even a 302 windsor .
Nice car tho , engine looks good in there . I have decided to bin the fuel injection ( even tho it will cost me 30 odd hp ) because I just cant get past that big air filter sitting right there in the middle ..... just looks right

Re: Where is everyone from?
200bhp is plenty in a Capri! I had a turbo technics once and that was 220...more than enough. People go for power and its undrivable! Mine is great and a joy to drive. The weight issue isn't a problem, most American stuff is Alloy, just my block is cast iron. It's lighter than an Essex v6. Parts are cheap too! A mate of mine has a TVR 4.2 in his mk1, another mate has a 302 in his MK1. Keep the carb set up, running right they're awesome!

My decals came the other day actually. There was one in the Classic Ford magazine in Signal Red '80'. It looks orange but its a stunner of a colour. The graphics company is named in there that does the stripes
