Re: insurance

Home insurance for me stayed about the same, £100 for the year, none of he extra shite they try and tack on, admiral do up to certain limits on contents so up to 25/50/75/100k you pick your limit - as a peasant I comfortably fit in the lowest category 😂 - and no need to declare anything under (I thi...

Re: Laser + GL and now a 3.0S!

I did go back in November/early December but totally forgot to take any pictures 🙃 Anyway, went back yesterday and she is really coming along now. When the outer sill was cut off it naturally revealed all the rot and grot underneath on the inner seal so Phil has been battling that now as well Now al...

.. different and often hideous arrangements of glowing LEDs crammed into their cars. Re: drugs

Hi, I found this on an American bike forum (was looking for info re. master cylinder sleeving) I can only assume this is due to the crystal meth rapidly taking effect. This is exactly as written, completely unedited it shows the mind unravelling: (it`s to do with repairing a `sight glass`) While yo...

Re: insurance

My insurance company A-Plan just insure whatever cost you say it is, they said nobody will come out to check and value it until it gets to £10k :headscratch: In that case I'll insure the fez for £9k with them next year and have someone wrote it off - I only paid £600 so will be laughing! It's stupi...

Re: insurance

It would be interesting to see how the insurance companies work out a market value. I would imagine they review recent sales of similar cars? Andrew. They must do, how else could they determine the value otherwise? One of the many things that annoys me about insurance - legal requirement to have it...

Re: insurance

They told me they would be stopping it as well when I spoke with them in October Excuse my ignorance, but if when you insure your car and they ask the value and you say £20k and they agree to insure your car for that sum - surely that is basically the same as an agreed value? Will be a massive pain ...

Gerrit is a masculine name of Dutch origin. Sharing its history with Germanic roots, this epic and distinctive name means "brave with spear". Though baby likely won't be wielding a spear anytime — or not soon, we hope! Reported for racism. Reported for being homophobic What is a 'masuclin...

Re: Full cigarette lighter for 1987 2.8

I`d think the scket itself is faulty, maybe shorting somwhere? Initially, that's what I thought the OP was asking for, but reading the post again it looks like they think it's the lighter itself. Either way, I agree with you and the OP should buy the socket and maybe the lighter itself. On the subj...

Re: Capri 2.8i exhaust system

Thanks! There is damage to one rear silencer which I think is repairable, but they are saying not only will it need replacing from front to back, but also both sides as it is a two pipe system. This makes no sense to me. Dismantle and straighten silencer and refit £150 vs whole new exhaust system a...
