Re: Rear brake drum removal

I used to use a Oxy acetylene torch to heat the area around the centre hole a bit ,rust or not the drum was easily removed. Most of the fords I have owned had 2 threaded holes ( 1/4 unc ) in the drum, by screwing a suitable bolt , the end of which bears against the axle flange the drum can be "...

Re: Forum question: incoming pm "on hold"

The thing that bugs me the most is my phone has more power than the Apollo mission computers ......but no instruction book, which you need to find out how to find out what you need to know.

Re: Fuse box queries

There is some weird stuff going in the Capri wiring ,both tail lights opperate off different fuses Doen`t that make sense though, if they were on the same fuse and that blew you`d have no rear lights, whereas if they`re separate you`ll always have at least one? Well ,yeah ,when you say it like that...

Re: Horn Location

You could use a light bulb for testing the circuit thus saving the cost of a 2nd horn that you may not need . I fitted a relay and air horns to mine as they were cheaper than a new ordinary horn ( yeah ,probly made in Taiwan but they make plenty of noise ).....the compressor is something else that l...

Re: Rear wiper

Not sure but I think that if the wire is off the strut they won't move off park. Beats me why they didn't just feed all the wires ( window heater Inc )thru the rubber hose thing at the top of the door . The wiper would still opperate with the hatch open but I can't see why that would be an issue.......

Re: black semi gloss trim on fox body Capri

I was watching NZ's version of cops and robbers and the cops pulled over some chic ( I wouldn't have said no ) in a modern car because she had blacked out tail lights.....turns out she had removed the lens and wrapped them in black pantiehose (our girls are way to clever ), bastards ticketed her. Re: Boot lock dis-assembly

:agree: ,I use aerosol degreaser ( change the nozzle for a CRC one with the straw ) and give it a good blast alternating between degreaser and compressed air and you will get it pretty clean. Some times you have to be just a little to brave to pull fiddly things to bits. I read somewhere that a 50/5...

Re: Mk1 Indicator Flasher Unit Location

If it is 2 pin then it's load sensitive. Are all the bulbs working and of the correct wattage . Should be 22-25 watts for the main indicators and 10-12 watts for the side indicators (wee ones on the front guard if they are fitted ,)
