Re: Crankcase emission valve 2.8i

At a guess I'd say it's probably be ok to use, the original item is a one way valve, allowing crank case vapours to be sucked into the inlet and burnt. The new one will still do that (confirm that's how works before installing it), but it will also allow vapours to escape when the engine not runnin...

Crankcase emission valve 2.8i

Hi guys, I changed crankcase emission valve and gasket (old one was no more rubber, it was like plastic :) ) and new emission valve is little bit different. New one (88WF-6A666-BA (1096487)) has 6 holes on bottom side, but old one (75 TF-AB) no. Thats why I can blow through the new one by mouth, but...

Re: Tyrrell's Classic Workshop - Capri Mk I 3000 GT XLR

Taking about Harry , that Jag and Lancia he is getting restored will set him back a few pounds , I wonder if he spills the beans on cost , the Lancia garage is just up the road from me , I keep meaning to swing past and have a look one day . I bet Ian’s Labour charges are a few pound to have...

Re: Capri driving lights

Just a thought, but during my searches I came across a New old stock company that had the Ford labels that went in the center of the lamp for about £6 I think Can’t remember the name of the company but There’s not that many companies that do this sort of thing so wouldn’t be hard to find? Hi, found...

Re: Colour code??

I think it's the 2nd box it's hard to make out there but it's definately a 3 to the eye! I've tried ford and they gave every detail except the colour on their record. The diamond white I ordered is much more grey and notociably different lol For me it looks that you are right with Diamond white. Ma...

Hi,
"3" is on first or second position? There should be two digits or letters.

Could you post here photo of "color box" from VIN plate?

Re: intermittent wipers

+1 for that, I've had that issue on a car, when that posotion hasn't been used much, it needed a real go at it to move it, then it was ok from then on. Maybe investigate if it's clogged up and/or lubricate as suggested. Yes, probably same reason on mine: lack of use. My car is from Spain, so there ...

Re: intermittent wipers

Hi, it's a long shot, but have you tried it with more force? On my Capri it goes to intermittent position with much more higher force. Even few days after I bought it, I didn't know about this down position, until I saw pictogram on the switch. :-) On my other cars all position is in the same way an...

Glacier over caspian, used to alternate between standard wheels and brooklands wheels
Looks good too.
I prefer 7x13 4 spoke RS now, but pepperpots waiting in the attic. ;)
