Re: Rear wheel arch rust

I have pretty much the same problem. I was thinking of doing same thing, but maybe a small wideing at the same time, so that tires won't throw dirt and sand at the same time. Problem is all widening stuff is glass fiber.... and that can be forgotten right a way.

Re: Bumper Bolts

The round heads on the ones I've seen in the shops are quite a bit bigger than original and would be too noticeable I think, especially by me hehe. I don't expect that you got yours from a...

Re: Starter motor strip down and refurb

Lucas model 2,2kw model had metal gears and bosch one had plastic ones Plastic gears? I`ve never seen that before. I can see it would be quieter, but wouldn`t have thought they`d take the strain, esp. the shock loading? Yep, white plastic, that starter was like 40 years old still working so, that s...

Re: Starter motor strip down and refurb

It can be done but, prepare also for failure. I have done it but it was totally pain in the ass. Alternator is much easier to do. https://gyazo.com/b683d565bf58e474e37ee1d060c26b31 https://gyazo.com/52b61cb8ad00341251307be6040ff721 If i don't remember wrong V6 starter motors had minor differences. There are various excellent Capri manuals but yes, that is the Haynes you need, as per your link.
Haynes is perfect for standard users.
IF you want repair power steering rack or rear axle gear ratio change, I suggest getting whole service manual.

Re: Opie Oils

Hi all, not sure if anyone uses this company, but I can strongly recommend them. Really know their stuff and always happy to advise on oils, filters etc. I've been using them for my Z4s and their service is excellent. For example, they mistakenly sent me 2x 5 litre bottles of oil when I'd ordered 3...

Re: Newbeeeee .....engine size change 1.6 to2.0

I dont understand why you would take off twin piston m16 calipers and fit single piston mondeo calipers .......even the lumpy old 4 pot princess calipers would be better .....no? One thing bigger/better brakes are better at is better control at the point where the tire looses traction and skids . S...
