Re: A take on the electric car .

Jason, don't be so silly.
Anyone can tell you that's clearly an 80s capri - can't you tell from the slightly different shade of stitching on the door cards?? ;)

Re: Wanted for MK3 Laser - Brake Servo

Alternatively, the chap I know who has a box of parts has one if it's of interest? If you want to make an offer I can ask him if he's happy with it?

You seem to be blessed with a plethora of lovely old cars over there!
I wish I could see a fraction of that at shows over here, instead everything seems to be an old E-type, or a Ford Focus!

Re: 1980 Ford Capri L 1.6

I'd agree that binning the vv is the best thing you can do for that engine - a Weber 32/36 is an improvement but will likely coat you more in fuel (it's hard not to put your foot down more!) Compared to a 34ICH which isnt a bad little carb if you aren't worried about power

Looks good Nick - glad someone else joined the S/S pinto club! 😂
Only problem though - you appear to have fitted silencers... What on earth do you want those for?? 😉

Re: Electronic ignition

I haven't got any first-hand experience, but if it helps, Aldon were recommended to you in the replies to your earlier question. https://www.aldonauto.co.uk//category.aspx?CID=1 Andrew. I've got an Aldon in mine and it works a treat. Fit and forget as they say. I know Nick has one too and so did so...

Problem solved!
Drove the car yesterday and checked it when I got back, weirdly the drivers side light was now working and the passenger wasn't... Anyway, changed fuse 3 and 4 over, problem solved.

I’m in need of a passenger side door mirror if it’s going!
Had an enquiry about the door mirrors, waiting to hear back if the price is OK with the enquirer - will let you know if it is still available!

Hi, long shot but is there a rear tailgate wiper motor cover in there somewhere, don’t mind if it’s cracked as long as it’s complete 😀 regards

Re: Rear light problem

Hi guys, I have tried a new bulb and like Andrew says the bulb only fits into the housing one way so know that isn't the issue, and I've tried a brand new bulb ( same problem) and the same bulb in the other side which worked fine so I know the bulb isn't at fault. I will try and look tomorrow but in...
