I started watching this a few years ago but I soon went off it. Don't watch many American shows at all.
I've watched most American and UK car programmes and they pretty much all follow the same format, sensible mechanics/fabricators and the dicks that think they are funny. So I watch odds and ends now and usually turn off when I don't want to see certain parts.
The US do have some skilled craftmen and I enjoy the paint processes, pretty much all of which look so much better than UK (on TV anyway).
That Thomas weaks does my head in , bit like Trump in that I cant believe no one has shot the cnut.
I do like Iron Resurrection and Kindig customs . They sure do make some impressive cars . If I won lotto Id be on my way there within half an hour .
A lot of the time there is not much left of the original car so in some ways its a shame to irreversibly modify a classic but I do think it is an art.
But that Richard Rawlins ..... dont get him ....how can he play the wild boy part when he's waving round low alcohol beer
One of them shows did a Capri , 2.3l but it was americanised just enough to spoil it ...... There's another one that needs shot with a ball of his own shit ...that Ralph Nader.
I hope you have a nice laziboy ( reclining armchair ) Nick ....... and another telly so Siobhan can keep watchibg Corro

I would normally agree about Americans on You Tube and the like but I came across one recently that is actually humerous and his fauly diagnosis is very clever.
SouthMainAuto repairs. Eric O and his wife run a ''shop'' repairing vehicles and his fault diagnosis is very clever.
I suggest you watch a couple. Sadly most the vehicles he repairs are North American only models but still worth a watch.

This show is a totally different ballgame and is one of the best modernish car repair channels. Also well worth watching is Diagnosedan - a Dutch bloke who is an absolute Master Technician with modern electronics.
For restoration and panel making and repair Yorkshire Car Restorations is also excellent. They restore some of the rustiest vehicles and cut out all the rot and make new repair sections to weld in. They are absolute geniuses. I also watch Salvage Rebuilds which is two skilled men who buy salvage and properly repair it. They do a fantastic job that would pass any inspection or test and then sell the vehicles on for a lot less than the going rate.

Maybe it's just TV bullshit but Rawlins comes across as a total to55er! Fantomworks is far better in my opinion.
Must agree Martin , hope the new hip is bedding in well fella and nice to see you back .

yeah , Bet wishes Martin.
This hip replacement thing ......seems like everyone I know either needs one , is getting one or already has one.
My Dad and younger brother both said that they got hauled out of their hospital beds the next day ( after the opp ) by psyioterrorists and immediately walked with way less pain than before, and having had several bits of metal attached in that area I can tell you that really is something impressive .
