insurance
hi two questions 1st what company's do you use to insure you capri agreed value? and what spec oil do you use in 2.8i engine please
Re: insurance
I've used Classicline, Brentacre and Lancaster Insurance, all of them do agreed value as do most classic insurers.
Think I used 10W/40 oil.

Re: insurance
I use Admiral for their multi car policy. As Andy says, most insurers of classics have an agreed value as part of the policy.

Re: insurance
Personally I use a local Insurance broker, might be a few quid dearer but if you ever need to make a claim it is so much better to have a face than ring up and have to keep explaining what the problem is.
I speak from experience, a few years ago my car was damage by a third party, still drivable and it was only cosmetic but the local broker made sure the insurance company did not come and collect the car for repair and one of these ''insurance approved'' repair centres and I could keep driving it. I took it in to a local body shop who did the repairs in a day and he even lent me a car.
A friend who had a total loss spent many an hour on the phone with his insurance broker trying to sort it out. They had taken the car away but he thought he was getting it back as it was a fairly minor thing, it turned out it was 200 miles away already in a breakers yard and he had to go and get the stuff he had left in it.
We all hope we never need to make a claim but trust me you will be so glad when you can walk into your broker rather spend hour after hour on the phone. Its like fitting cheap tyres hoping its not going to rain ever.
