As you may have noticed, they are quite hard to come by in decent condition. They do come up for sale every now and then, it's worth checking Ebay every day and striking quickly if they are listed as a buy-it-now. It's likely that a full set in good condition won't be cheap though, the last full set was listed in June and sold for £140. It's possible that a faded set could be restored, but look out for broken fixings.

:agree:
I'm looking for a item for my XR, but anything on Ebay is either as bad or overpriced  This is the problem with rare parts!

A mate has lots of good parts he bought 10 years ago to restore his 2.8 and at reasonable prices back then. Hopefully he'll get around to it soon as these parts are useful to other people.

Keep looking something will turn up

Just had a look on ebay and actually a set sold for £175 at the end of August (so 20%/m?)- there was even a set * listed* then at £340.... strangely didn`t sell. Noticeable though that last month there were quite a few listed/sold at £20 for a pair: currently they`re all £25 each for the short ones, £99/pair for the longer, door ones. The point being that anyone listing will use these as a guide and so it goes. Once upon a time you`d have got these for a couple of quid, which is all they`re worth really, at the local scrappy - AND had the fun of sourcing them yourself. :D

I had a quick look through the listings and a lot of the ones being sold have broken mountings. The seller states in the descriptions that they may need work.
A decent undamaged set rarely comes up for sale these days.

There was some NOS still in Ford packaging listed earlier this year, I think they were £180 per piece and surprisingly sold in less than 24 hours.
Depending on how faded they are some can be brought back with gentle use of a heat gun but be carefull, best to remove from the car before trying this.
The other option is CERAKOTE Ceramic Trim Coat, it is the only product I have found that actually makes old plastic look like new and lasts, the wifes Mini Cooper plastics were looking very tired but after a coat of the Ceracote it looked like new and still does after 5 or 6 months.
