Filmstar

Post by D366Y »

I forgot to post this at the time but a back in early January I became a minor film star ⭐

One of my brothers old school friends is an independent filmmaker and had been sat on an idea for a film for years and it was always his plan to base the whole film in/around an old classic car and - somewhat unsurprisingly - realised just how brilliant capris are and asked to use one of my cars!

I will be listed as a stunt driver on IMDB once it is released for the minimal amount of driving I actually did, but the whole thing was shot on 16mm stock film and should be quite a retro film as they have gone with the old projector screen view for all the shots in the car

Awesome stuff. What is that building in the final shot?

It's a semi abandoned house... You would have loved it Tom!
Story goes that the old couple who lived there died and it was going through probate for their son to inherit it, then he died as well so has been sat for almost 10 years totally empty - hopefully it will be sorted this year and can be restored to its former glory

Nice one Danny :)

Found out from a previous owner that my XR has been on T/V
The programme was shown in February last year on the Welsh S4c channel and it should be on channel 4 later this year. About the reverend Emyr Owen from Tywyn in mid wales in the 80’s. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1985/03/28 ... 480834000/ I haven't found any genitals under the seat yet

First started the filming with the car January 2020 before covid lockdown and then got called back for filming in August 2021. The car was restored beween the break in filming and luckily was ready for the completion

Haha luckily she needed little on the way of mechanics! The original plan was to use the Laser but due to the catastrophic failure of the MOT a week prior we had to change cars 😅
