The sporty SUV killed them off apparently, but this is so much cooler. I know we get the Impreza and cars like it, but ground clearance wise its just like a regular car. Looks like the Eagle could actually do a bit of proper off roading.

Part of the problem was rubbish build quality. Have you ever seen the Pacer? A 5 liter V8 in a 2 door town car with one door bigger than the other.

Years ago round here some guy put 4wd running gear on an XJ6 , no idea what or how . It was about 6" higher than normal and it had a diesel motor . Used to see it getting round a bit so I guess it was reasonably usable .
