Ford Capri MK2 pinto 2.0 starts but does not run

I got Capri 1977 mk 2 sat in garage since 95 collected last may the engine was frozen could not free up engine so took engine out of car also change from auto to 4 speed manual bypassed hibitor switch rebuilt engine new pistons rings shell new oil pump had head work done at engine shop all new gasgets some parts missing of engine new starter motor alternator new water pump fitted power electronic ign and new coil 1.5 to3.0 HMS new red rotor arm new dizzy cap new leads plugs put engine back in December got back to working on car mid Jan timed engine es per manual got new heay duty battery connect up turned engine over fired up for about 2 seconds that was about 6 weeks ago I've check timing set TDC on compression stroke set pointer on dot head cam putt in dizzy facing old tax disc with rotor arm on number 1 lead 1 on cap fantastic spark also fitted new manual fuel pump tried advancing and retarding car fires up but will run on new Weber carb is manual Choke take plugs out fuel on plugs when does start sound sweat tried turning up tickover up starts up cuts out tried close mix screw up open 1 turn then 1/2 turn +1/2 etc it starts and stalls by this time knocks guts out battery don't no what to do next any Capri pinto people out there by M5 jun 4 about 1 mile losing the will my first post Trevor thanks any body looking or replying

Seems like you have done everything so providing parts all work as they should and aren't faulty I could only guess that it must be one of the settings on the carb/plugs/points unless the compression is down on one/all of the cylinders?

Are you sure you haven't got all the plug leads on one place to the left or right of where they should be?
Ask me how I know. :D
