Please help !!
Looking for a long lost friend in my Capri that was stolen May 1993, turns out that it has not been scraped so could be hidden away somewhere, base 1.6 LS but 2.1 stage 2 (specialised engineering) in red with distinctive ally cat wheels & cosworth whale tail.
Registration MTP 52Y last seen in the Plymouth area, any information greatly appreciated,

Hi what makes you think that this hasn't been scrapped.?
Its showing as not taxed since 1993.
I suspect it was ringed out with a different number plate or broken up for spares at the time of its theft.

I just checked a Capri that I owned that was stolen back in 1986 and it still shows it on the DVLA website as not taxed since then.
However the car has never turned up.

It's admirable that you haven't given up hope, although I suspect it's a long shot as the trail would have gone a little cold by now.

Thank you all, much appreciated, it was in fact recovered after being stolen with apparently no damage & at the time I was given the opportunity to purchase the car back but chose not to at the time.
Just wondered if it survived but so far drawn a blank, don’t really know where else to check……

I think about stories like this whenever I consider selling mine. Good luck with the search
