Silly little front valance woes

Post by daisyduke »

Hello! I feel like I might’ve brought this up before, not sure, but I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or ideas for this highly irritating cracked bonnet valance (not actually sure what you’d call it officially). A piece has already fallen off somewhere while driving - never to be seen again - and there are two other cracks along the other side too. Every time I life then bonnet it puts more stress on it. Doesn’t look like I can actually easily replace it through.

Hi,
That piece is held on by four little nuts that are easily accessible when the bonnet is open.
You can buy a new reproduction moulding, but it will be cheaper to source a secondhand item from a seller like Caprigear etc.

The fixings can also be purchased as repro items.

Amazing! Thanks - didn’t spot any, but it’s entirely possible the dirt may have been hiding them !!

Hey you! Good to see you back. I can't offer any trim advice though for obvious reasons 🙃
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

The two fixings on the nearside of the bonnet. Obviously the over two are located in the same position on the other side.

Perhaps an odd one kicking around in my garage loft but not in your colour.

Major Tom has my number if you want me to have a check for one. I don't get on here very often.
