Trim finish

Post by B@fink »

Greetings assembled Capri brain

Now the brum is in the paint shop I’m going to tidy up the side window trims. These should be satin black but are all faded and grim. So…has anyone tried powder coating them rather than paint? Would it work? Or am I just being a foolish fool and should just have some paint put on and not be silly?

You could try powdercoating them but the baking on of the powdercoat would concern me. Best to ask somebody who is a powdercoater.

Why not repaint using a good quality epoxy aerosol primer and satin top coat

Are they beyond the powers of Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel?

Ah ok, well I just used to rub down, etch prime and spray smoothrite satin black on them.
