I wonder where on that scale putting the key in the door comes especially if you are a couple of hours late in from the pub?

We used to sit on the tailplane on the Lighnings when they were doing reheat runs.
One time when I was on QRA duty the pilot selcted reheat as he left the shed, apart from us all having to pick ourselves up off the rear of the shed our ears were ringing for hours.
We used to put ear plugs in under the ear defenders but as has been said it was your internal organs that took the beating.

The loudest thing on earth is the lawnmower belonging to the bloke next door.
Especially when he cuts the grass at 9 PM when I've got to get up early the next morning.
Andrew.

Due to the size of your stately home your next door neighbour must be several miles away! Are you sure that's not your own gardener tending to the grounds around the estate.

Hehe. That's just it you see, you have to keep reminding yourself as it's become so normalised. I reckon Bernie Ecclestone has the same problem.
