Hi guys ,
I've got my 2.8i capri back together today,went to fire it up and it was hesitant tried to fire but looks like only the cold start is supplying fuel,looked at timing and moved distributor forward & backward to see if it would improve as i know the timing isnt right
. I then spotted damp on my garage floor and it was petrol coming from metering head where the two halves meet ( all banjo fittings are tight and no leaks from them). How tight have these two halves have to be cos im sure i tightened them up as per the instructions, all new o- rings & filters fitted.
I'll take it back off tomorrow and have another look at it but any advice off you guys would be greatly appreciated ,as said earlier its trying to fire new injectors fitted old ones had had it and metering head refurbished.
So like i said guys advice on the leak probably not getting enough pressure to the injectors and timing set up on distributor
