Thanks Kelvin

Get a bigger slide hammer, they will have to come out, Chances are you will leave the O ring and plastic sleeve in the manifold but they can be easily picked out.

Re: Capri 2.8i injectors
A little more extreme is to remove the manifold and knock them out from the other side but hopefully it won't come to that.

Re: Capri 2.8i injectors
Hi,ive tried lifting the manifold but the angle the injectors are placed in the manifold prevent it from being lifted off cleanly.
Im going to try and draw them out with a threaded bar and a spanner, similair to hydraulic extraction but manually.
Thanks Kelvin

Hi everyone,
Managed to get the injectors out by drawing them out with a threaded bar and some hollow tube, worked great and cheap too. The injectors look as if they've had it really dirty and clogged up,can these be cleaned and can i do it myself, waiting for your answers fellow Capri buffs
Thanks Kelvin

Re: Capri 2.8i injectors
I don't think the heat is an issue just not sure it will do much. The trouble is the bit you want to clean is the inside that you can't get at. I tried one of those sonic cleaners. Didn't seem to do much but maybe I needed a more expensive one! In the end I gritted my teeth and bought new injectors.Kelvin Pugh wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 11:36 am Hi all, Another question for you,can petrol injectors be cleaned in boiling water ?

Re: Capri 2.8i injectors
I've read somewhere that this type of Bosch injector cannot be cleaned successfully.
If you test them and they spray OK, just clean the outside and re-use them.
Andrew.
