After jumping the Capri ship sometime ago and owning the Mustang V8 for a while, the Sierra 1600 just wasn't doing it for me so I recently got this.
Ticks all the boxes, new and used parts are readily available from several suppliers in the UK and it's tax exempt (I mean who really wants to pay that on top of everything else )
Any negative comments please keep them to yourselves

Andy, what have you done?
Just joking......she looks gorgeous!
Does it still have the original V8 Andy? I understand that some owners had swapped them for the Rover V8 for reliability reasons.
Andrew.
Hi Andrew,
It's as I like them, nice clean condition but not so immaculate that you are afraid to drive it.
Yes many had Rover V8 conversions, this has the original engine with uprated alloy rad and kenlow fan so should cure the issues they had back in the day
Car(s): 1986 Laser 1.6, daily runaround project 1981 GL Auto 2.0, Barn-Find-Resto, now also a runaround project 1980 3.0S, crash damage resto 1993 Fiesta 1.1
Currently full up and no more space but I still want a 2.8...

Nice!
I think Admin may delete though - it's not even a Blue Oval.....
Always quite liked these though, relatively cheap V8 motoring!
Great sound and a nice drive, unlike the Sierra which left me completely uninspired
Unlike many modern fast cars you don't need to thrash it to enjoy it, but you have to enjoy what you drive otherwise what's the point!
Don’t you say “ SssttttttttttaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaG “
Very nice was a guy in faversham who has worked on these for years and years , a old mate who had a stag used him all the time , you will now get the big question “ all I bet that over heats “ like we get the concreate in the boot
Very nice sir and loving the blue

Very nice Andy. Drive and enjoy
Paul, hope all good with you.
Please give my regards to Steve Marl when you speak next
Will do Andy, I know that Steve will appreciate that for sure. Yes, all good here thanks, hope you are too. Again, very nice choice of classic car you have there, and they really look fun to drive. And I dream of being tax exempt!
Car(s): Capri 2.8 Injection Special, every few days. VW Tiguan for daily & boaring runs. Triumph Speed Triple 1050, Now unfortunately gone... Triumph 1200 Tiger XCA instead... Now also gone. Tiger XRT instead... No, gone too... BMW R1250RS Exec... Try this one out (old man syndrome).
Well, my second Stag experience became as bad as the first almost 20 years ago with constant issues
So rather than keep throwing ££s at it and having scratched the V8 itch, I now have this
1981 XR3 that had a full exterior and mechanical rebuild to fast road spec in 2020 and has done approx 1200 miles since.
Basically a new car that's as clean underneath as it is on top, and has cost me less than the Stag would have to address it's ongoing issues or even get it close to the XR standard!
Always been a Ford man really and still an active XR Owners Club member so this is it now, roll on 2023 season!

Lovely! I do like a Mk3 Escort, specially one like this.
I'm the one that leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
