here are few photos from saturday's orienteering rally in Zlin. There were 8 motorcycles and 40 cars. Track was 80 miles. 14 miles from that you had done in average speed 22mph, time was measured in this section.
We were 2nd in class cars 1971-1991 (from 21 cars) and 3rd overall. Next competitor was only 0.13sec behind us.
There were nice cars. My favourite was that blue Tatra T87 (1945). Owner bought it in 1969 when he was 19 years old and he still has it. Car has 446 000 miles! Last year he finished complete restoration, and he done another 9000 miles per year (vs. my Capri and 900 miles per year).

White Tatra T97 (1938) (number 15) was nice too. Only few cars were made because one man from Germany with strange moustache (named Adolf something...) stoped production because T97 was competitor for VW Beetle (KDF wagen).
In fact Beetle was copy of Tatra T97 conception (central tube, rear mounted boxer engine), Mr. Porsche "borrow" this idea from Hans Ledwinka from Tatra. In 1960s Porsche paid refund to Tatra for this...
