Good, bad or ugly I like them all. Reminds me of this 2.8 which was at a Club stand I was with a few years ago, we had Tickfords, Brooklands, Mark 1's, etc. but this one got the most attention. Seemed to have been brush painted all over with some kind of Hammerite substance, remained well protected though. Incidentally at the time, this car was owned by the ebay seller who sold me those Ford Focus struts for the Capri tailgate!

I was going to clean mine the other week, but my girlfriend stepped in and said "no, it looks great like this"
You can barely see the crap paint under all the grime Will take a few pictures soon, car is resting currently due to the weather. Going around in the old W124 Merc.. it has this newfangled "air con" thing!

Good man, it’s great fun isn’t it?Major_Tom wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 5:36 pmAwesome, that is something I am working towards love writing, not made any £ off it yet though!
I can’t mention my books or anything because I nearly got booted off Pistonheads for ‘advertising’ but all I’ll say is my debut had a car chase with a heavily modified mk2 Capri
Sadly books don’t really make a lot of money, I make far far more from historical docu-drama scriptwriting!

Lol. Yes it's great fun. Good man, a character in mine steals her mate's MKIV Escort then turns up later in a turbocharged MK3 Capri by way of apology.Wickedbad wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 9:47 pmGood man, it’s great fun isn’t it?

Interesting you mention scriptwriting, I've been thinking of something like that, and writing for stories for those dreadful magazines people seem addicted to, anything really at this point as finances are becoming an issue. Articles in them are so badly written I could do a better job in my sleep.
