Surprised I've not been reading about the 2.8 on Ebay for £75000 on this forum

2,350 miles from new... serious question, doesn't that mean it's going to have loads of issues with regards to bits seizing on?

Like several other cars they have been forsale a long time, which proves they aren't worth the asking prices.

Unless (Like Andrew ) you have a unlimited amount of money and find these extreme prices reasonable, I don't think you can put any miles on these cars, and better off buying a scale model to look at!? Or just buy one with more miles that won't have issues due to lack of use and at a fraction of the cost and enjoy driving it

Amazing how with these OVERSOLD cars you automatically get a history lesson! Anybody thinking about paying this much for a capri really doesn't need the patronising write up..

I do keep reading on all the Cortina , Escort , Capri and Granada for sale signs they use that phrase from a famous book out that “ The Pinto Engine is The Best In The World “ I mean really do they need to tell us that as we all know that it is .

Hehe that gets to me too. 'These cars are getting rarer everyday' 'You have to expect minor issues with a 40 year old car' 'These 3L ones were the best of their kind' 'The Capri was first introduced in....' 'This is an appreciating classic' 'Has thousands spent on it' 'This was the European Mustang' The list goes on.

with regards to the two 2.8 on ebay and car and classic....lovely to own if you can afford it, but just ultra low mileage cars and thats all, nothing else.
they are built to be driven and then there goes the value
