Thanks Andrew, I thought you would have the answer, just been and got a pair from halfords. They also have the tiny bulbs for the heater control light in 1.2W and 2.3W versions, any idea which one.

3 watts max for the dash ,otherwise the heat ruins the plastic ,not sure about the heater tho.
I lined the inside of my dash with aluminium tape and fitted led,s. Available in different colours but they are polarity sensitive and the dimmer doesnt work any more
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

Ive just done the same on the dash clocks and fitted standard green bulbs so i can still use the dimmer, lined with silver tape after reading yours and Johns write ups. I have also changed the heater motor and matrix so this is when I realised that there is a bulb in the back of the heater controls which has blown so need to change it.

Sorry Mark, I can't remember off hand and there's no mention of that bulb in the Haynes manual. The clock ones are 1.2W, I would guess that the heater panel one would be the same?

I think the heater bulb might be a T5 capless, although I'm not 100%
