34ich carb electrical connection

Post by Jumper »

I have just removed my 34ich carb which has a manual choke. I had to disconnect an electrical wire on the engine side of the carb. Can anyone tell me what this wire is for?

Just guessing here but could be fuel shut off solenoid? A photo of where on the carb it was attached would help though. Have you replaced the carb with something else?

I found the answer in another Q&A post - it was for a fuel shut-off valve. I’m fitting a 32/36 carb and think this wire is now redundant. Thank you.

Changing to a 32/36 should be very good for you. Theres a reason its such a widely used carb.
