Goodness, the production values have really lowered haven't they!
Big fan of these films actually, seen every one of them and the last few at the cinema, really entertaining enjoyable fun, and there's nothing wrong with that.

They are hilarious I heard in the last one that a few MK1 Escorts were trashed... but I bought some Bilstein shocks from a company in Wales and they sold entire, brand new, Escort shells

Jeremy Clarkson ridiculed the car chases in 70s films where cars are seen side by side and driving at the same speed, then the driver of one car changes up a gear and speeds into the distance. If the driver was trying to outrun the car that was chasing them, why didn't they change up a gear before they were 5 minutes into the chase?
I have absolutely no idea if that is relevant to F&F as I've never seen the film, but I'd thought I'd mention it anyway.
Andrew.

I'd heard abou t the Mk2 Escort shells - heard they were made in Singapore or something?? When I heard about it they were £8k each, not £21k!!
I second this - I can't say they are my favourite films but there are lots of very pretty cars - including a very saucy MK1 Escort in one of thempbar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 5:25 pmAndrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 10:19 pm I have absolutely no idea if that is relevant to F&F as I've never seen the film

Have you seen Le Mans 66? I saw it last night and this happens all the time.Andrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 10:19 pm Jeremy Clarkson ridiculed the car chases in 70s films where cars are seen side by side and driving at the same speed, then the driver of one car changes up a gear and speeds into the distance. Andrew.
"We just can't get past him...!"
"Ok, use the secret gear."
And the GT40 just appears from nowhere with no explanation or history of its construction, it just shows up as a complete car and only needs a bit of fettling
I enjoyed it apart from that Worth a watch
Oh and it is actually called Ford V Ferrari
