Hi Everybody, I hope that you're all well.
Has anybody found a technique to prise the black plastic surround and mirror glass from the housing on the passenger side mirror? Without breaking the glass, if possible. I know there's a series of clips on the plastic that secure it to a lip on the inside of the housing, I'm a bit wary about using too much force.
Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice.
Andrew.

Re: Mirror Glass Removal
No help really Andrew. The black surround is a sod to get out unless the glass has already broken. The only one I have got out I was able to butcher the housing as it was terminally rusty and I just wanted the mirror from it.

Re: Mirror Glass Removal
Thanks for your advice, Peter. I removed one surround with no problem at all, but with my spare mirror I'm finding the process a lot more difficult. I believe the glass in this one is original and so I wanted to preserve it and the surround. Not asking for much, am I ?
Andrew.
