Finally got my boat out this year . Me and Di caught a few good blue cod ( and a bunch of other shit fish ). Then I sliced the tip just about righ off my left index finger while filleting the fish . Worth it tho .... great table fish , arguably the best in NZ

Aaaah no ๐Ÿ˜, things are on the improve , last time I removed a bit it was my right leg mid thigh ......sort of , I actually called in experts for that but a partial amputation of a finger .....well anyone can do that ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†. And the finger hurts more than the leg did ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Wow. Great photos fella and brilliant you and Di are out in your boat ๐Ÿ‘ Now that looks a stunning place to go fishing too Hamish. I usually just use Uber Eats and get Cod and Chips delivered to the door

I'd have to agree, Blue Cod is my favourite fish. Unfortunately I'm in the North Island, so we don't get it very often. Snapper is our main species up here, a close second to Blue Cod in my opinion. I've been invited next month for a Marlin/Tuna fish off East Cape, hopefully I can make it.

I lived in Nelson for 11 years so I had both. Id rather eat blue cod but snapper are very good and lots more fun to catch ....or not as the case often was. I never caught a big one .๐Ÿ˜Š
