FORD CAPRI MK3 FRONT VALANCE

Post by atomic4 »

I think prices for new genuine ford panels have finally gone through the roof now!

It's only gone through the roof if it actually sells at that though, the seller could put a million Pounds if he so wished, doesn't mean it will sell or that it's worth it. Will be interesting to see what happens I guess, though in the world of evilbay who knows what a genuine outcome is. All these daft/inflated prices are doing the scene no good at all.

:agree:
Anyone who was desperate for an item would find it hard to justify some of these asking prices, no wonder they don't sell for months on end!

I know people aren't going to give items away especially if rare, but the greed of some sellers ruins it for many

I would rather sell something at a resonable price to help someone out and have the money in my bank account than some awkward part taking up space!

I suppose everyone has a price. There are chancers and there are desperate folks out there. Gonna be interesting to see if it actually sells.

I bought an identical panel for mine, probably about the same time the seller got that. Ford dealers still listed them.
Even as a genuine new panel it cost less than 10% of the price being asked on that listing.
To me it is entirely acceptable to profit on rare old stuff you bother to keep, especially as it looks to have been stored with care. But over 1000% markup is a bit much.

Anybody wishing to buy one could be waiting for quite a while for another to come along.
I would expect that the seller could be open to sensible offers.

Andrew.

I will bid him £100 and if accepted I will offer it on here for £1000

That's always been my problem, I'm just too generous
