Some time ago I brought a replacement inner wing foam pad...like the one in the attached picture..underneath the pipes above the yellow engine bay sticker. My question is what is the best way to attach it? Obviously some sort of glue but what would be the best sort to use?? many thanks

Silicone sealant? Or similar. That stuff seems to stick anything to anything, it's heat resistant and you can always peel it off in the future if you need to.

I don't know how hot that gets but I'd be tempted to use double sided tape??

CCI have them https://www.capriclub.co.uk/28_Injectio ... --766.html And says the Ford pads were self adhesive.
As Danny suggests I would use double sided tape.

If you decide on tape, I'd certainly recommend this, very sticky/strong and a great price -

Thanks for the replies I think I'll go the tape route.
It looks like they were originally stuck on in all sorts of places around the same area-I've done a quick google search on original 2.8 engine bays with the original foam pads and I'm still not sure where I should put it exactly.

I'd be surprised if the pads were fitted with millimetric precision at the factory.Essexsoulboy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 12:09 pm It looks like they were originally stuck on in all sorts of places around the same area-I've done a quick google search on original 2.8 engine bays with the original foam pads and I'm still not sure where I should put it exactly.
This beautiful 2.8 is as original as they come, I'd be tempted to place the pad in the same location:

Many thanks..is it my eyes or are there actually two pads on that one? A large light grey one, like mine and a smaller dark grey one over the top? I haven't seen that before anywhere.

There's definitely two pads, yes.Essexsoulboy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 7:35 pm Many thanks..is it my eyes or are there actually two pads on that one? A large light grey one, like mine and a smaller dark grey one over the top? I haven't seen that before anywhere.
The smaller pad looks like it's a 200mmx200mm square one like CCI sell.
Neither pad looks like it's protecting the inner wing from the fuel pipes, which I assume is it's purpose?
Andrew.
