You'd better crack on with it Nick, you've only got 2 days left to eat that melon.

I had a Galia dog once, it was a melon collie.

I've just noticed that CCI members who have a lifetime membership to the club receive their magazines before the general membership. Out of interest, does anybody on here have such a membership and can they shed some light on when they receive their magazines?

I've not thought about that much before, but of course those members will also get first dibs on all the parts and cars for sale, not just from the club, some parts which are one offs, but also the members section, and those who receive their magazine later (mine came today) such as those in England, North of Watford, are even worse off. I might raise this point with them actually. Seems a little too elitist really.

I'd be interested to see what their response is, but I'm sure Mr.Moneybags over there will just say that's how it works and tell you to buy a lifetime membership if you don't like it

I thought the same thing about the yearly membership. Lifetime membership is equivalent to 8 1/2 years of normal membership - surely after 9+years then of renewing my membership I should qualify for lifetime membership for nothing? Of course not, I'd have to pay again.

For me, it works out at 7 ½ years as I will save the entrance fee to the Nationals every year too.

If I'd have opted for the lifetime membership when I first joined, I'd have got the money back by now and each year now would be free. Judging by how fast 8 years go, it does make you wonder that it's well worth doing actually.

It's just the worry of what happens if the Club ceases to exist, etc.

John hill is 76 years old so he could be in a care home in eight years . Save your dosh . On the web site it’s says January’s free gift is for the 2.8i owners

Will the club cease to exist after John Hill retires?
If the club is sold in the future, will the life membership be honoured by the new owner?
We just don't know the answers.

I would have taken out a life membership years ago, but I've never seen it listed on the website before.

Same unknowns which any business has I suppose. It is something I have wondered before. I guess that other people's livelihoods depend on the Club also, and perhaps other family members will take it over, I have no real idea. I do hope it continues no matter what though.

It is worring times for all business , we are still in def-con 3 here so pubs still shut and I really can’t see how they are survive , also some big names on the high street have goon .
Worring times as for CCI I wonder if his son will take over .

I wondered if his son would take over as well, but I guess it depends how much he cares about capris and also if anyone else wants to put in the time and effort to run the club?

Maybe we could buy it out as the forum and give ourselves cheaper parts
