Some parts for sale..

Post by Major_Tom »

..all parts from a MK2 3.0 unless stated otherwise and were working well when removed. Just plucked these prices out of thin air:

Good fuel tank and sender £60

Lovely three-spoke leather bound steering wheel on the proper Capri boss £50

Six pod dash with yellow dials £50

Indicator and horn stalks, all the stalks, loads of stalks, will stick them on mine and make sure they work £20 each

Lots of buttons, switches and wiring including a full loom. Say £5 each for the controls and £50 for the loom.

Also have a Mk3 2-piece propshaft. Reckon it needs new centre bearing though. Think its from a 2.0 £30

A one-piece prop from Mk2 Cortina £50

Lots of wheels and some tyres of varying sizes and kinds, Slotmags, Pepperpots, Compomotives, some 13", some 14", varying quality but nothing badly wrong with any of the wheels. God knows what these are worth, price on enquiry!

1980 3.0S, crash damage resto

Currently full up and no more space but I still want a 2.8...

I like Slots but hoping to move away from 13" rims as tyre choice isn't great, 15" are back on the horizon :)

Thanks. Here is the steering wheel...

Image

..cleaning it up revealed three gashes around the 6 o'clock mark though!

..but honestly it feels so much better I think I'll keep it 😂 and am in the process of cleaning up my old, slughtly smaller but much better condition one, which I will post a picture of once I have lovingly removed the crap paint some previous owner has put on.

Here we are finally. 2 unknown slots, think theyre Dragslots, and two genuine Wolfrace Slotmags, both 5.5J x 13

Image

I half cleaned up one of the Wolfraces with a bit of wet & dry, just 5 - 10 minutes worth and theyre coming up well, will need a polish after cleaning.

Image

Two centre caps for the Slotmags, one dented, but I might try taking it to my mates and getting it in a press to see if I can pop it out again.

Image

Good straight wheels, no kerbing and will clean up well.. but the tyres are Ditchfinder General SuperSlip CombiSlide GateCrasher 100s and hence not recommended to drive on.

£120 to you dear boy, mega bargain.

And the steering wheel. Near perfect condition except for a dent in the leather at the 3 o clock position and the seam slightly unpicked at 6 o clock. I used this wheel for three years and it never got any worse, but I don't see how it could be easily repaired.

Are the shoes in the photos included in the sale? I'm surprised they haven't been left in the carriageway yet! :D

Good luck with the sale.

Andrew.
