For those that go, quite possibly the best weekend of the year
Anyway, the annual camping/bbq/chill out weekend is booked for Friday 3 July, for those that want to make the most of the weekend, Saturday 4 July and head home Sunday 5 July.
Still at Molesworth in the camping field next to a nice village pub that also does B&B. Want more could you want.

Random one Peter, don't suppose there is any news on CRaP going ahead this year or not at the moment....??
Not sure, but the way things are going we might be in with a chance. If we have to postpone, perhaps we can just get down there as soon as conditions allow. I think the land lord will be desperate for the cash any time.
I'm the one that leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

Nothing at present Dan, too many variables at the moment - will any holiday gatherings be allowed, do the regulars want to go, will pubs be open by then? Earliest date for possible pub openings is CRaP weekend so cutting it rather fine. On a personal level I have an overseas holiday booked just before. If its not cancelled then I might have quarantine for 2 weeks
Maybe a new date could be best, depends what anyone else wants to do.

I'd be certainly up for popping along for one day - is this a 'done' thing? Couldn't do the whole weekend, but could certainly come up for an evening or whatnot.
As to rescheduling - if it's a quiet meet that'll be a lot easier to manage than a show environment. Just have to keep our 6'6" amongst us!

Be good if you can come along Tom and if you can manage it I would certainly recommend stopping over Saturday night if you can. It's not compulsory of course but you will get more out of it
In terms of date I think we need to look at trying to move back a couple of months. There are still uncertainties over what we will be allowed to do but views on anyone about perhaps the first weekend in September instead would be welcome.
Like most things at present it’s impossible to plan ahead.... I’m flexible really in terms of dates, personally I think July is a little optimistic so why not say August and then September subject to what happens over the coming weeks?
This may be the only holiday some people manage this year so I think we should try and do it if we can.
As some of you know I work in the pub industry and whilst we still dont have clarity, I'm not convinced that pubs will reopen on the 4th (I hope I'm wrong!).
How much notice does everybody need to be able to get time off work etc?
My suggestion is that we try and set a date maybe 4 weeks in advance if that's workable?

I'm fairly flexible at the moment but we need some relaxation on unrelated groups getting together before we can try and arrange a date. It's not just a question of the pub being open but I'm certainly hoping that we can make it happen.

It wouldn’t be the same if we couldn’t kiss and cuddle....
Joking aside, that’s a good point so we’ll need to see what happens.
Just to confirm what I'm sure everybody knows already, this event will not be happening next month as originally planned.
I have been in touch with Steve at the Crosskeys and, like all other pubs, it is closed at present. I have suggested that we might look to the first weekend in September as an alternative date but as there is currently no official guidance Steve is not currently taking any field bookings and can't say that he will be able to this year until we all know more.
Basically watch this space and keep fingers crossed!
Well done Peter thanks for the update. I’m working on the basis that pubs themselves are opening on July 4th but there has still been no official confirmation which is ridiculous when we’re so close. There has been quite a few £million worth of beer ordered on the basis they are, pubs having had to pour quite a few £million worth down the drain over the last few weeks!

They'll have to pipe it into people's houses. Line clearing will be a bit of a pain though.
Haha still less painful than pouring it down the drain! Some water authorities were actually making a fuss about it, such was the volume being poured away....
I can’t make the first weekend in September, later in the month is fine as is August. It will be interesting to see the full guidelines for camp sites....
