Yes I think most of the Capri world was shocked to see this Capri come up for sale I have noticed that since a small book come out last year saying about how Henry Ford Jnr quoted “ The Pinto Engine is The best In The a world “ prices have just shot up .
I did also here this week on the History channel about WW2 they mention “ Cologne “ was taken very easy as it was weak ?

I didn't think I'd ever see this stunning 2.0 S come up for sale.
It
is a stunner Andrew. Had a good look at it at CCI. Remember reading in club magazine that he went to buy this car for spares for his equally stunning Laser & was greeted by this beauty. Looks like a lot of graft has been put into it, a great buy for someone, only wish it could be me

If I had the money, space and inclination to have two Capris I'd love to own this one.
It will be interesting to see how much it sells for. There's lots of bids on it and it's already at £13,000.

Somebody must have retracted their bid as it's down to £7,050 today.

I only buy on Ebay so just guessing really, if someone retracted their maximum bid of £13000 (or whatever it was up to), then it would drop that much as their previous bids have gone too
Hopefully it sells with no hassle, as genuine cars seem to hang around when sales fall through a couple of times due to non serious bidders

A great looking car and it looks like a good buy for somebody if it sells for the estimate.

This has been around a fair while now
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-Ford-Ca ... %7Ciid%3A1
Far from cheap but original low milers usually get snapped up fairly quick.
Looking at MOT history for CRW987T, 23rd May 2019 at 25,851 miles it had done about 100 more miles than stated above.

Fuel filters do look odd - a case of which one will we use today.
Also looks to have a collapsing driver's seat and it has the wrong, non- leather, steering wheel.

Hasn't got the colour coded grille either, but that may have been changed for personal preference.
To have a fuel filter held on with cable ties I wonder what else has been bodged

Nice car but I wonder if it's TV appearance had anything to do with a fairly quick sale

It might be more to do with a book that come out last year about the Pinto being the Best Engine In The World
