I quite enjoyed the first series so will watch this one too.

Thank you Andy, I set it to tape. Funnily enough I've just been watching the first series as that's being repeated on Quest. Never appealed to me before but I caught the beginning of the first episode and was captivated by it, very enjoyable series. And Hammond comes across really well, very endearing.

I will watch the repeats Sunday evenings.

Hopefully the new series continues with the same down to earth, no stupid comments or messing around that some other programmes have done.

I watched the first episode it was ok.
That was exactly what I said about it when the wife asked if I had seen it.
OK sums it up.

All issues shown were sorted or advised on how to fix, but seemed like it lacked something although I don't really know what :headscratch:

Quite agree Andy, it lacked something. Maybe need more difficult issues. I still found it interesting and enjoyed it but it's a background watch.

:agree: It was quite a pleasant harmless little program without the nastiness of the likes of Drew Prickhard or the silliness of Tim Shaw but I agree it wasn't very technically challenging. There were some lovely cars on the program though.

I see in the trailer for the series they are under the dashboard of a Vauxhall Royale. I do hope they are doing the heater matrix as I did one many years ago on a similar Opel Monza with aircon and the bloody job took me two days and many grazed knuckles.

Too much yap and not enough time concentrating on actually fixing the problems in my opinion. Also, sort one car out before another one comes in, all the flitting around between cars gets on my nerves.

As a Car programme it was OK but if you wanted to learn anything it was a waist of time.
I wonder if we turned up they would fix our cars or is it invite only?

Repair Lot, starts on Dave Ch at 18.00 on Sunday 23rd July.

Quote;
In The Repair Lot, a skilled team of experts revives classic cars, tackling any challenge. Motoring journalist Charlie Vowden meets owners, while mechanics, a trimmer, and a bodywork specialist work their magic. Together, they restore precious cars and share their stories. Each episode features two owners, their cars, and a fascinating piece of automobilia to restore.

Ep1; Mk1 Cortina and Peugeot 306.

I will give it a look.
