Queens Square Meet

Post by andyd »

Hello All,
Thought I would put up a thread for anyone interested in attending this event, presumably on August 13th or September 10th 2017.

I can do August or September.....Weather depending on both

Would be happy to meet Andrew and others? At Gordano Services Petrol Station? At a recommended time, as I have no idea where I am going :)

Names and preferred month here if interested please?

1.AndyD (Aug or Sept)

I am a possible for both months, September is more likely but if enough people are going I will try to make both!

I'm more likely to do the September meet.... Lots of other stuff happening in August, so I'm fairly sure I won't be at the August one.

Might pop along in June or July though, as this is a good event and I love the drive there and back :) Oh and getting up at silly o'clock :(

All the best

Andy I am only a 'possible' at the moment. This is the same day as The Great North Run and I am 'supposed' to be running it. Have some niggly injuries so not sure but have the coach booked up just in case. If I pull out and Mrs F dont make plans for us then yep I will try to make this fella. Jeepers they will get a shock with all these Capris turning up. Andrew you might have to set the usual meet up a bit earlier !

All the best guys

With this many cars going, if we want to park together we'll have to set up our tents the night before.....
Hopefully you will be able to make it along to the meet again at some point.

I think it could be a pretty busy one, don't need no tent though, I know the boot of the capri fits a double mattress in so will just kip in that!!

HI Danny,
I'll be going. I'll take the Capri if:
1) it's not raining.
2) Somebody else is taking their Capri.

If you're going, that's number 1 ticked, but I don't expect you to be able to do much about caveat 2! :D

Hi Nick,
Didn't you run this a few years ago? You were narrowly beaten by a little known runner called Mr. Farah, if I remember correctly.... :)
Are you fundraising again this year?

Hi Andrew, yes mate I ran it in 2015. And yes it was a close call between me a Mo....he got me on the 'dip' so I was disappointed

Andrew I am still not 100% about this years run as my back is still a bit dodgy and right foot is too  I will decide pretty soon then will let you know. Have the coach and hotel reserved so its just a case of seeing how my injuries heal...if at all and in time !!! Yep if I am running then I would be trying to raise some money again but as said not definite yet. Thanks for the interest :)

All the best

Nick

September for me, Holidays get in the way in August plus not sure if Kris is planning ACE Cafe again in August which I think was second weekend of the month last time so I will commit to September in Queens Square
