Very true Nick, much better than the useless modern replacement.

Here endith the mystery :P

And as Paul said the replacement is useless...a bit of bleedin tape ! This plastic device was a brilliant way to "re-seal" your loaf of Hovis (or similar :) ) to keep it nice and fresh. Obviously a shite bit of tape is cheaper to use and no sharp edges

They sure don't make TV shows like this anymore, they wouldn't, and couldn't! Watching old shows like this, smoke filled rooms, everyone downing beer, and saying whatever they want to without fear of media repercussions, if only we could turn it around and become so carefree again instead of so PC, uptight, and rule stricken!

Bloody good times, long gone now unfortunately. I feel very lucky to have lived in that era.

That's so true isn't it Andy. It is almost like people are seeking it out, so they can then cause a reaction to it.

Less technology too which is the problem today IMO....Everyone walking around looking at little screens :banghead:
Especially Teenagers, no one else matters except themselves or the crowd they are in......Respect is long gone....Innit

What's worse than people who look for things to be offended by, are the nobheads that choose to be offended on other people's behalf!
On the bread clip front, we used to collect them and clip them onto the spokes of our Grifters...... :woot:
